I spent four lovely days in Death Valley. Trip reports to follow. Anyways, I visitied Darwin Falls and found quite a few Chuckwallas hanging out on the trail. I did find a strange creature that i believe is a Gila monster but I am not sure. I checked Google but i cant get a good close up of the type of scales it has. Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance.

Pic 1, was the one in question but David said what it was. Or was that a joke? Lol
Yellow-backed Spiny Lizards are not a joke, they are tired of being disrespected! Yes they would prefer a less obvious name but its what they got and they have learned to live with it. I am sure once the woke group finds about it, it will have to be changed but for now, that is their name.
