ZUMA & NEWTON CANYON FALLS

I've been chasing waterfalls, and I've been on a quest to find mushrooms since the last rainstorm.

This past Wednesday I hiked with my crazy Wednesday group to Zuma and Newton Falls.

I was really excited because I've only witnessed the dry falls from the trail above.

Also, I've hiked this trail many times during the springtime because it's loaded with wildflowers.

The waterfalls were flowing quite nicely.

We also found two additional falls further down the canyon but they were not easily accessible. Probably something for canyoneers to check out.

Anyways it was a short hike but well worth the views.

Nice pics. What is the flow like in the spring/summertime?

Jeff-the falls are bone dry during spring and summer.
Sometimes there is water trickling below in the canyon.
