Backpacking food

Saw this little gem today, it's right up my alley since I was gifted a trail name of Snickers last year on my JMT section hike. I figure for the first two days I'm only planning to bring these since I usually don't feel like eating much. Nice to know now there is some science behind it. I carry a Bearvault 450 so that's 20k calories!

Just melt everything in a pot and fill the canister with liquid snicker bars until full. Then just scoop what you want, when you want. I bet you could get another 50 bars in the big canister.

Would an ice cream scoop qualify as ultralight gear?

Can you heat it up, and drink the snickers goop with a straw?

I think the peanuts would clog things up. Might be able to try it with 3 Musketeers.

I hope I never need to carry 17 pounds worth of Snickers through the mountains.

Only if it's a titanium straw. Count the ounces!
