In case you aren't familiar with the term, a "sticky post" is a topic that stays at the top of the list of topics in each forum. It is one of the first things visitors notice upon coming here. A few of the forums already have valuable stickies. But a couple others might benefit from one or two. I'm specifically looking at "Other SoCal Ranges" and "Flora and Fauna", which currently have no sticky posts at all. A casual or first-time visitor to those forums is presented only with a list of very specific topics. Perhaps there is something of more general or popular appeal that we could create and place at the top, to act as a sort of initiation to the forum or general reference guide.
