Spigot was working as I suspected. Just needed to be sure. If you do call them though, they will deny that water is available. The spigot is technically not public knowledge.

Thanks for the heads up. I plan on staying at Upper Fuji...most of the time, the troops stay down below near the museum.

Heading up this weekend for a quick one-nighter with the little one. Has anyone been up recently that can confirm if the spigot by the restrooms is still working?

Planning on taking my daughter this weekend and would prefer not to haul extra water if it can be prevented.

Took my daughter this past week on her first Sierra experience. We spent a couple of days on the Lake to fish, relax, and explore. I agree with the above. If you already have a 2P tent, it might be a better option to get another 2P tent. Actually had the chance to visit DV two weekends ago. Had an amazing time as well. Can't wait to head back.

We spent a couple of days in Panamint City, hiked in from Chris Wicht Camp.

It was actually nice and probably didn't below 50 degrees. Water was available at the tower and the trough at camp.
